Catching Up

Again, I am behind. I have things all the way back from our spring break until today. Here we go. I will start from the past and work my way up.

Spring Break -
The boys were enjoying some warm weather with the sprinkler from Aunt Lisa. They loved it!

Even Murphy liked it.
On the Friday of break we took the new Light Rail into downtown to the Children's Museum.
They thought it was cool. Well, at least the ride there. On the way back, I think they were over it!
Phoenix Children's Museum. The kids enjoyed it. But I think the Strong Museum is better! :)
Here they were shopping - No Wegmans!! Depicts life here in AZ, though!

JT made pizza.
And Sammy flipped pancakes. (he gets that from his Dad!)
JT touching something he thought he shouldn't. He could but that is the innocent face he has when he thinks he is doing something wrong. :) That Boy!
This was cool. They had all these tunnels and connectors and the kids could build them and roll balls through it. They had a lot of fun here.

The car wash.... well the trike wash. They had the whole thing set up like a car wash and the kids peddled through it. They had fun.

Back at home. And still lovin Murphy to death! He looks excited with all this new found attention, doesn't he?
Ok, now we are recent. Tatum's birthday party was Saturday. We were very excited to go because believe it or not, we are always out of town for her party! This was the first party we went to for her... EVER! The boys had fun. Here they are on the Easter Egg Hunt.

Then, they got to decorate their own cupcakes. They worked very hard.

Sam made a dog... of course. He is still workin on us for a puppy!
And JT - Well... he really liked the frosting! :)
Today. We watch Star Wars. JT talks about Star Wars all the time. We watched it today and he fell asleep on the couch! When does he ever do that? He will be up all night, now!! Anyway, Sam got into it. I am not sure the thought process of this outfit... but he is Luke, apparently? Too cute.
Look at his face - he posed for this one!
Where else would you put your light saber?

So... Now you are caught up! We will be looking forward to posting more this week and weekend too. We have Easter eggs to decorate and leave for California on Thursday night.

Spring Break this week

We have been on the go Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The kids are on Spring Break and they have energy to burn! Unfortunately, I am still trying to build up steam! They have had a lot of fun with their friends.

This is a pic from last week - I was pretty lazy last week. The kids were good about it. Popcorn and movies.... still a favorite in this house!

Monday we went bowling with friends.
We have been playing bowling on the Wii for a while now and Sam is pretty good at it. He gets strikes all the time, but it goes to his head! It always seems that in the end, Matt pulls through to beat him while Sam is smack talking! Anyway, we thought we would give real bowling a shot! It was fun, but Wii bowling gives you a confidence that does not really help you when you are doing it for real! Sam did end up getting a couple spares (with the bumpers) but the whole thing was more comical than anything. Did you know that you can still get a gutter ball with the bumpers on? Well, we did! And JT even managed to get his ball half way down the lane and then it stopped!! We needed to call for assistance! Linda took some pics (THANKS)!! We had a great time with you guys!
JT's ball stuck in the middle! :) Only JT!!

Running back after he got bored of waiting for it to hit the pins!

Silly Sam!All in All - a fun time had by all!

Tuesday we went to Peter Piper Pizza. Remind me never to do that on spring break again! It is like Chuck-E-Cheese.

Wednesday was water day at the park. 6 hours of outdoor fun! The kids played water balloons, squirt guns and football, ate McDonalds, and got dirty! We were all exhausted by the end of the day! (Mission Accomplished!)

We were all taking pictures except for Kelli... They enjoyed getting her!!
Sam leading the pack and Kelli on the run! lol!
I think this one captures Sam getting hit! We were sure to toot our own horns and let the kids know that we were awesome for doing this for them. I mean, lets face it, the Dads would NOT have done this. So the kids have a little video clip to show their appreciation! Moms' Rock

Boy have I been a slacker!

Hello! I have definitely slacked. I am blogging things from last week and this week is almost over.

First, we want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT ANITA!!

Sam's Star Student week.
I already blogged this one - Monday he made a poster of all his favorites...
It is also his read-a-thon week and they were celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday, so it was wacky socks day on Wednesday. This day he got interviewed by his classmates to get to know him better. The socks were one of Grandma Lucy's christmas gifts to the kids. They were fuzzy and striped perfectly like Cat in the Hat. Thanks Grandma Lucy!

Friday - Daddy Day! Matt took the day off so he could be a guest reader in Sam's class. I am not sure who was more excited. That day Sam also brought in an estimation bag as his final Star Student Job. He brought in Blow Pops to share with everyone. He was very excited.I will tell you that JT was not as impressed with Daddy going to Sam's school. He didn't want to be left out.
Then Matt took the boys to Costco and came home with kites.
Don't you like how high we got them up?!
So they played golf instead. Sam is really hitting the ball now! JT enjoyed it too!

Finally, we have the newest addition to our family. We had our 8 week appt on Tuesday and the baby is doing great! I got the official due date of October 20th. It was really nice to get to see the little one. The baby was exactly 7 weeks and 6 days on Tuesday and measures about 1 inch. We could see and hear the little heartbeat. The heart rate was 174 beats per minute.

Sammy's Spring Concert

Sammy had his spring concert on Tuesday night at Higley High School Performing Arts Center. He was did a great job and looked adorable too! :)

**** I have been working on getting the video up from the concert but it is so large and something keeps happening everytime I try. I will have to break it up and put in on later, but I wanted to get his out to you for now. ************

He had a new outfit for the concert right down to his new red converse sneakers. He looked very cool. In fact, a woman stopped us as we were going in to say how cute he looked!!
JT also had a new pair of converse sneakers on. He really likes them. He had to have them all day the next day and carry them if he wasn't wearing them. Too cute!
Sam and his buddy, Trevor, before the concert.
JT waiting for his big brother to get on stage. He really enjoyed the music and has been singing the songs ever since. He did fall asleep at the end though and ended up staying awake until 11! ugh!
Sammy on Stage.
Sam sang 4 songs at his concert - I'm a Good Ship Lollipop, Take me Out to the Ball Game, Its a Brazzle Dazzle Day, and he sang and signed Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
After the concert, we told Sam we would take him out to dinner. He chose McDonalds and take it home???? They have Spiderman toys right now! :) They look happy.
The pictures do not do it justice. He was adorable. I wish you could have seen it!
I cried. (I am a little hormonal, though)

Star Student

Sam is the star student at school this week. That means the week is all about him! He made a poster with things about himself on it. On Wednesday, the class with interview him and ask questions about his favorite things and on Friday he will bring in an estimation bag with goodies the kids can count and he can share with the rest of class. He also will bring home Tommy the Turtle to stay with us. He is very excited!!!

This is a picture of him with the poster after we finished it last night.

The Poster up close.
If you click on it, it will get bigger. You should be able to see the pictures and read the captions. Sam told me what to write. All the captions on there are from him. If you can't see/read it, let me know and I will post what he wrote. It is really sweet. :)

This was him before school this morning. He has also hit a growth spurt, so he has grown out of all his shorts that fit him in the fall! Sam and I had a "Mommy and Sammy" day yesterday and we went shopping. He picked out a few things. This is what he wanted to wear to school today. He is very cool.

Of course, JT is right there by his side!

Tomorrow we have Sam's Spring Concert for School. I will post what I can from that too.
