The Day After Thanksgiving!

We will start with the kids at Dinner on Thanksgiving.
This was their table and they enjoyed the turkey and the rolls the most! Both the boys were totally wiped out after Thanksgiving. JT has not been sleeping well and it was my crazy idea that they sleep together because JT said he was scared of "scary monters" so we pulled Sam's bed into JT's room. (I know, I am crazy!) So now we have Sam's car bed and JT's crib side-by-side in the same room. When we went up to check on them after we were SURE they were asleep, this is how we found them! Too Cute!

This is a close up of the boys in bed. Now Sam is asking for Bunk Beds! Again, there is a ring around JT's mouth.... not sure what that is because we cleaned them up before bed? That boy!

Oh, Christmas Tree!

The boys were way excited to decorate their christmas tree yesterday. We got a tree from Costco and the boys put it together while Mommy took a little nap (Black Friday Shopping proved to be a little much for her!) Next it was time to decorate! This tree is different from my other trees because the boys really had all the say in putting it together. Just look at the star at the top... my adorable Habersham Old Fashioned Tree topper has been put away in lueu of a beautiful blinking plastic star! Put as you can see the boys are super excited about it! Sam has a Buzz Lightyear ornament that he has been taking out and looking at for months so that was his first Ornament on the tree and JT didn't have one he wanted, so we had to put a string around a Burger King Iron Man Toy because he wanted to put Iron Man on the tree! Needless to say, I will be making a run to Hallmark to check out their superhero ornaments!

The Boys even wore their Buffalo Bill's hats for the occasion. Matt was videoing the event and he asked Sam, "Who is your favorite team?" and Sam replied, "The Steelers!" That's my boy!

The boys put on almost every ornament they could find and our tree is a unique one, but we love it!

This is the Finished Product:

After the boys went to bed, I got to work cleaning up the room and decorating it. Matt and I are so proud that after 3 1/2 years of living in this house, we finally have something in every built-in around the TV! (But if you look closely, you can see the NFL network is still a main feature in the built-ins as well!) So we think we are going to go with the Christmas theme all year round so we can leave it up!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Just wanted to take a minute to post some pictures from today and a video. We miss you all so much and words can not express how thankful we are for our family. Obviously, we wish we could be there to share this together, but unfortunately, that isn't a possibility today. We love and miss you all each day and just wanted you to know that eventhough we can not be with you physically, we are there in our hearts. LOVE YOU!!!!!

Some pics from the day... starts with silly photos, then goes on to last night's pie making adventure !!

This one is for you, Uncle Buddy!

Sam has been working on his drawing skills. He is actually getting really good and he enjoys it. That is much more than I can say for myself! Sam always asks Matt to help him draw because when I do he says it looks like a refrigerator...long story ;) Anyway, Sam sat down to draw Uncle Buddy a belated birthday drawing from the new book we got from the library, How to Draw Spider-man. (Of course!) I am pretty impressed, but I am also a little biased!

Now, I will preface it by telling you Matt helped by telling him where to put lines and circles, but he put the pencil to paper and this is what he did, OH, and JT did a little something on the Spider-man drawing too... The scribble from Spider-man's leg is a special note from him! Happy Birthday Uncle Buddy!

I will also tell you that I helped him do the side drawing of Black Cat and it didn't come out nearly as good. I am not sure if it looks like a refrigerator so much, but it doesn't look like the book!

Win #2

Sammy played "tough" (that is what Sam says) in soccer on Saturday. He was really into the game, which is pretty good for him, since it has taken him all season to get to that point. You can see in some of these pictures that he was really trying hard!!!

This is how he started the game... (He falls a lot!)

Here he is starting to get into it... watching the ball intently!

Here he has made an awesome kick, and of course he needs to celebrate his success! (If someone had a camera I me, it would have caught me doing the same thing!)

His teammate is also celebrating his success!

And, finally he is really into it... I don't know where he gets that face from?? ;)

JT had a good time too... He wanted to take the pictures! Don't look too close to his cute little face... I have to brib him with treats to stay by me and there is a ring of something around his mouth (I think it is chocolate!) I love that boy!

Daddy's Birthday and the Boys Today

We started celebrating Dad's birthday with some cake... here they are signing Happy Birthday and Blowing out the candles.

Next, we went out to dinner and drinks at Kona Grill to celebrate with friends. The birthday boy had fun... maybe a bit too much, but it is his birthday, so what the heck?!

The boys today... they decided to start a rock band this morning. Sam was truly stylin with his underwear guitar playin and he HAD to have the stand and microphone to sing into. JT was loving the drums... he would hit his drumsticks together and say, "1, 2, 3, 4, 5" then beat the drums! My only regret is that I didn't get video of it.

JT this morning... He has my boots on. He walked in them surprisingly well!! He looks proud of himself in this pic!

Our First W!!

Well, It is official! We are not going to go the whole season without a win! The kids played hard and they WON for Coach Matt's Birthday! Everyone was really excited, including Coach Dad :)
Go Spiderman Team!!

Those Teachers and their Projects!!!

OK, I now realize why every time I assigned a family project the parents groaned... Sam had to decorate a turkey for school. He decided to make a "Chocolate Turkey" out of M&Ms and Chocolate Sprinkles. It actually was a fun project, I just hope the turkey will stay hung up on the wall because it is a bit heavy! Oops! Oh well... he likes it!

More Drawings inspired by Uncle Fred's Birthday

Instead of the video... the kids (well, Sam) decided to draw a picture for Uncle Fred's Birthday! Yesterday was crazy so we didn't get them posted until today...(plus we have FAR too many Novemeber birthdays - ;) no offense! - it is kinda hard to keep up! )

Sam's Spiderman and Bad guys drawing.

JT's drawing with makers... at least it is on paper! His new thing is to draw on anything and everything. Right now it looks like he hasn't taken a bath in weeks and Buzz Lightyear got a makeover! ;)

The boys today...

As usual, we have a little of everything today. We started out the morning with a breathing treatment because there has been lots of coughing again!! ugh! But Sam has out a cool twist to the boring task...

Next, we rented Indiana Jones for the first time and Sam has gotten really into it. He had me make an Indiana Jones hat and a whip, aka, "whacker" Surprisingly, construction paper actually satisfied his needs!!

And JT couldn't decide between Batman, Darth Vader or Handy Manny... all were a little big on him, so he was a little upset. What do you expect for 90% off halloween costumes?? ;)

Happy Birthday to Cole!!

Happy Birthday Cole!
We know it is not your birthday today, but mommy slacked a little and we got it on here for your birthday party! We wish we were there to celebrate! We can't wait to hear about all of your cool presents!! Love you!

It is a little dark... sorry. You may need to pause the music to hear the video. :)

Touchdown!

It's getting cold here and the boys are really getting into that fall football feeling! Here they are in their Steelers' gear running football plays with Daddy.
Not their best picture, but you can see their Steeler jackets!

Letters to Santa... In November!!

Goodbye Halloween... Hello CHRISTMAS!!?? Well, my boys are a bit like their mother... They LOVE Christmas! Sam's music teacher, Mrs. Lauren has begun teaching his class songs for their December Music Concert and that must have given him the Christmas bug because he has been singing Christmas songs (his favorite... Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree - it is a must hear!) and they have been watching tons of Christmas movies - (they are both into the Grinch - both the real and cartoon version). Over the weekend they both wanted to write Santa their Christmas List. Check it out...
