Sammy's football and Shadow a Kindergartener Day!!

We have been busy with football every Saturday for the last few weeks. This game is actually from 2 weeks ago. JT got a fever last Saturday and I didn't take the boys so no pictures from that game. But this game was the one Matt was away. I am actually surprised I got any pictures or video with Matt calling and texting every 5 minutes asking how it was going! We all missed him and are so glad he is home now... finally!!

Sammy got to be captain for the game. :) And he almost scored...He has almost scored in all 3 of his games!! I think this weekend he will finally make it happen! But that will be another post.

Quaterback Sammy.
A video of his throw. :)

Here Sammy is the running back. He has the speed, now if we can just get him to run straight instead of side to side!!

Shadow A Kindergartener Day!!

I was so happy and excited to go to school with Sammy for his special Shadow a Kindergartener Day. He got to show off his stuff and it looks like he has a GREAT time at school! They are very busy. Mrs. Motroni has them trained well! I need to get her at the house to get them trained here so well!
Hard at work doing his workshop jobs!
Waiting to show his homework to Mrs. Motroni
Doing the Sight Word Challenge. Mrs. Motroni sends home a list of 25 words they need to memorize and when they do, they read them to her. If they do, they get a starburst and a round of applause from the class. Apparently that is motivation for Sam. They have been doing this for 4 weeks and he just completed his 3rd sheet. He now knows 75 words. Here he is really concentrating while he reads his words to her. :)
I knew he would get a big smile after he completed them so I had the camera ready, and I STILL missed it! He was very proud. (me too! :) )
Signing with Mrs. Motroni. Sam told me they sing and dance a lot in school. His teacher is pretty cool. She has all the fun dance songs and the kids LOVE it. This is his school song. I have video of it too. I really wish it wasnt so big because you HAVE to see it!! I will try to post it on youtube. Let's just say, he has his Daddy's dance moves!
His teacher dancing :) Like I said, she is cool!
Sammy dancing.
Sight Word Stars. You get a star with your name on it each time you complete a sight word challenge. I think this is another reason he is so determined to get those words memorized. He really works hard. I am so proud of him. He is a great little student and an AWESOME kid! We are so lucky to have 3 beautiful, smart, fun and CRAZY boys!

I had a great day! I miss him while he is there for so long, but it was really nice to get to see what he does everyday. I can't believe he is so big!

Are You Ready For Some Football??

A new season of Colts football began this morning. Sam was fired up to be one of the older guys on the team. Both JT and Sam had their eye black on and were ready to go at 7:30 this morning!
Our cheering squad.
Coach Matt and Coach Steve's pre-game pep talk.
Sammy on the carry! He did so great! He would have made a touchdown on this one, but he stepped out of bounds. He got 4 carries and did really well on each one.
Huddle.
Brothers... lots of snacks and entertainment to keep them occupied!!
Quarterback Sammy! He actually threw our very first touchdown pass to his buddy Mason.
Handoff.
Overall it was a good game! Much better than last year! We scored 4 times, but we still lost :( These boys are really coming along. We will get them next time!
(sorry, my pictures are not good! It was sunny and they were far away! And of course, I was watching Eli and JT, that always helps!)

Golfing with Dad

Matt has his foursome with all 3 boys and himself now. He has been getting the boys all fired up about golf for the past few years. Up until now, the boys have gone to the driving range with Matt and hit a few balls. Recently, Sam and his buddy, Jackson have gone out with the dads on a real course. It has been a real treat.

Well, anyone who knows JT knows that if Sam does it... he wants to! Matt took Sam golfing on Monday morning with Jackson. When he got back, JT asked if he could go. How can you refuse that face? So Matt set off to the driving range, but when he got there the guy said he would let JT play for 5 bucks! SO, JT got his first real golf experience. Matt snapped a bunch of pictures on his phone... I couldn't choose so I put them all on the post!

I love this... you can see his excitement!
Happy :)

Doesn't he look so big?!

This kid is too much, right?!

What a face! :)
Clearly it went over very well. Before you know it, Matt will be taking ALL my boys out for 18 holes. What will I do with myself with all that time alone??? I'm sure I can think of something!

A Happy Birthday To ME!!

This is a very rare occasion on the blog, but this is actually a post devoted to me! There are actual pictures of me... that never happens! I had to document the great birthday I had. I am so fortunate to have such great family and friends and they were all so good to me. Thank you to everyone near and far for thinking of me and making my day so special!! I am very lucky!

We started celebrating Friday night. Arwen's birthday is September 1st, so we got to celebrate together. We went out for an adult night to Benihana (aka Benihaha) and it was a great time.

The girls.
The Birthday Girls.
The Guys.

Me and Linda
More girls.
More Guys.
Had to include this... She might have had the best time of all of us!
My actual birthday.
The funny part about the next couple of photos is that we took these outside of Wendy's before lunch! This started because on Thursday I had to take a couple quick shots of myself with Sam when I realized I didn't have any pictures of myself with him for a school family tree project. Thank God for digital cameras! I took a few quick and printed them out. So... My wonderful husband was determined to right that wrong and insisted on taking some shots before everyone got dirty eating. This is what happens when you bring out a camera with the boys- they get silly!
Someone walking into Wendy's asked if we wanted a family shot. Of course! It actually came out nice. No one even can tell we are outside a fast food restaurant!
Eli. :)
My boys took me to Red Lobster for dinner. I had been wanting crab legs and JT wanted to try them too. I was going to take pictures at dinner, but that didn't work out well. Apparently bringing 3 little boys to a dinner that involves breaking open your food means there is little time for pictures. Matt did get a few from his phone of the boys getting an up close view of some lobsters....
To start the day, the boys had a sleep over with their buddies Jackson and Jordan the night before. We told them if they fell asleep while we were out to dinner they could stay the night. They did... and the boys were tired! So, my non-nappers, all fell asleep around 4 pm. With dinner reservations at 6, we had to wake them up and JT wasn't exactly happy about it. While we were waiting for dinner Matt took him to look at the lobsters.
We were lucky enough to have the waitress bring out a live lobster for the boys! It was pretty cool. JT looks very serious.
Sam was still at the table with me when I saw what was happening... he took off running to make sure he got a turn to touch the lobster. It was a pretty cool experience.

After dinner. cuties.
Sam. :)
Always a joker.
JT :)
Another Joker.
My pretty cake. Red velvet. yum.
Another pic with the boys. I love my husband. Once he gets something in his head, he makes it happen. I needed pictures with the boys, and now I have tons!
Happy Birthday Dear Mommy.
Making a wish!
With this good of a start, it looks like 33 will be a great year!
