Sam started Football and Wrestling this month. Here are some shots of practice.
Wrestling - he is really pumped up about wrestling and has been doing pretty well, too!
He is a strong little guy so he likes this drill where you have to push the other guy out of the circle. He always wins and thinks he is so tough! :)

Here he has to tap the other kid's knees.

Take Downs. This is a picture of a mild take down. I missed the one where Sam shot and literally launched the kid over him and onto his back... that was crazy.

Sam took him down. You can tell by the smile on his face (
eventhough you only see 1/2 his face... it is hard to take pictures and watch too!)

On to Football...
They just started practicing with the flags.

Poor
JT is a little
bumbed that he doesn't play soccer until next month. He goes and sits for both wrestling and football and can't do it himself. It is killing him. It is hard to be the little brother!

Sammy grabbing a flag.

Running after the flag. At this practice, Sam was all over the place. He was a loving grabbing the flags! He got 3 which was more than anyone else that day!

GAME DAY!
Today Sam's team, The COLTS, played The GIANTS. Daddy is getting him ready

The team we played was a little more advanced... they were doing throwing plays and they had one guy that took the ball for a few long TD runs. Our guys are a little younger and were just trying to get the hang of this football thing. They did well. They got 2
TDs. Sam played mostly defense. He was close on a couple flags, but
didnt get any this time. Here he is going after the flag.
JT watching again... He really liked the oranges I brought for snack. :) It was an 8am game and it was already HOT. We are hoping AZ cools down soon!

In the huddle.

He played 2 series on offence. Here he is the running back. I should have gotten video of this... he ran left and everyone followed then he tried to get fancy and ran right and everyone followed.... ultimately he didn't get very far! But after the game he said he had fun, so that is cool!

We will keep you posted on the next games too. He plays every Saturday. JT will start soccer in October! Wow! What happened to my babies?
