Another week has past!!

Again, I am a little slow with the posts. But in my defense... it has been very hectic here with doing things here to celebrate Christmas and getting ready to go to NY for Christmas. The week was not very eventful, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday were PACKED...Here is our weekend:

FRIDAY: I finally found the chocolate Advent calendars I have been looking for all of December at Target (of course!) Only 12 days late. The boys look like they minded eating the extra chocolates to catch up, don't they? I didn't let them eat all 12. I had them put the extras in baggies, but someone had a hard time with that... can you guess which one????? (hint: the bottom picture)

SATURDAY: This was an eventful friend-filled day...
8:00 am - SNOW IN ARIZONA!!
The kids were so excited to build a snowman. I could not resist the urge to get this first shot. That little patch of white... that is the snow. :)

Sammy was excited to make a snowball. Good thing there were signs all over about NO SNOWBALL THROWING!

I love this picture of Jordan!Matt the non-conformist... Sandals in the snow.

3:00 pm - Sam's last soccer game. He almost scored!!! He was really workin for that trophy.

5:00 pm : Christmas with Friends. The kids played secret santa to eachother and we celebrated by exchanging presents and having a nice dinner together with our friends. It was a great time and it lasted until 10:30!! We really enjoyed the night.
Sam was a little excited to get the Indiana Jones outfit... look at his face!
JT and Candy - a perfect fit!

SUNDAY: MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Santa made a quick stop to drop off the big things for the boys before going to Rochester. Not to worry... he left a note saying that he was still coming to Ya-Ya and Poppy's with more toys! (Just what they need!)
JT ran to his bike. He was a very excited little big boy.
Toy Story Rocket launcher.
THE WII!! (they were really good boys this year!)
We are really enjoying this. First thing Sam said this morning was, can I play Wii? And Daddy has been rockin out to Aerosmith Guitar Hero - he played it until 1:00 am!
IRON MAN!

Cookies for Santa!

The boys have been anxious to make cookies for Santa, so we got to work on that today! They had to wear their Santa hats ( and by they I mean Sam... JT just does anything Sam does!)

"COOKIES"

They both enjoyed cutting out the cookies from the dough... Here is JTs:
(the star was very popular)
and Sams.... creative use of star within the Christmas tree...
We waited for Dad to come home to decorate the cookies. Didn;t want him to miss out on all the fun!! ;)

I think we did more licking than decorating!

And the finished product (drum roll please!)

And the taste test!Sam chose the Christmas tree he decorated with a TON of sprinkles because "I don't want Santa to get a tummy ache"
And JT chose the snowman that Mommy made because when he saw it he said..."That Frosty, Mom?" and I said, "yes." He said "Thank you, Mommy!"

YUM!!!

The week...

I think this is the longest I have gone in a while, but we must have gotten busy, as usual! Here is what our week looked like:

On Tuesday, we exchanged presents with our Secret Santas... the boys made ice cream cone Christmas trees with frosting and sprinkles and they made Reindeer Magic Dust for their secret Santa friends. Then we went to the park to exchange and play. We had some donuts and hot chocolate... you can see JT is enjoying the donut here!
Owen, JT, Tatum and Jordan on the See-Saw... Thank you park people for making it a 4 man!!!
Sam and Jackson being pirates and digging for buried treasure!!
On Thursday, I went out for girls night to see TWILIGHT!! We had a great time and I really liked the movie but felt it should have been longer so they could be more accurate to the book, but I could probably write a paragraph on it and you would rather see the boys... so it was boys night and here is a pic of them watching Camp Rock and of course, JT is eating a candy cane!
Sam is more into the movie than the candy, obviously since he can't take his eyes off the TV for a picture! When I got home and went upstairs to give a kiss goodnight and check on the boys...
this is what I saw:

They are so cute with sleeping in the same room and JT HAS to sleep in Sam's bed every night. I am sure that will come back to hit us later, but right now it is cute. If you look closely at Sam's head he is wearing his Santa hat! We got the santa hat that day and now he (of course) has been bugging me to get him the full on suit! He is too much! Friday morning the boys were up to send Daddy off to work and it was so COLD out in the morning that Sam and JT insisted they needed their umbrellas! Notice, it was cold NOT raining!

"BYE DAD!!"
On Saturday, No Soccer Sam action shots, but here is a pic of his team after the game. They lost again, but you can't tell by their smiles!! ;)

Christmas Card Photo Shoot and The Boys' Christmas Drawings to Santa

Last night we attempted to get a posed picture by the Christmas tree for our Christmas cards. KEY WORD - ATTEMPTED!! The boys were their usual selves, unfortunately that doesn't translate into perfect Christmas card photos! Well, I guess in our case it kinda does. I wouldn't have it any other way! As for the final product, you will have to wait until you get your christmas card, but here are the proofs:

The boys also drew a picture for Santa and Sam in insisting that we send it to the North Pole. (He thinks he needs to make a lasting impression!) Sam really amazes me! He drew Santa and his reindeer all by himself... seriously, he just showed us after he was done. And JT is doing awesome too! He is still into faces. He told me that there was Hulk, Spiderman and Sandman. See if you can find them! The problem with JT's artistic talents is that he doesn't keep it to paper. He than turned his black marker to our cream couch and drew another face. He hasn't caught on to how we can always tell it was him because he has the same signature, a face, on everything he writes on! Our walls need to be repainted now!
